You can never have too many power sockets. We have plenty of solar so why not have more sockets. Having one on the outside will mean that we don’t have to run an extension cable out of the van. The one we put in initially is 240V, although we are also going to run a 12v connection as well. The 240v will enable us to run the washing machine, charge laptops and plug in anything else we may need. The 12v will power the pump for the paddleboards.
It was fun, and scary, to cut a hole in the side of Wike. It is quite interesting that the skin of the van is a lot thicker than it looks.
