We arrived back in Mazarr\u00f3n on the 18th Dec and were given a much better pitch than last time.\u00a0 This one was bigger than the last one we had and was not shaded by trees.\u00a0 The first couple of days were a bit cloudy so we set off on the bikes to explore.\u00a0 Our neighbours had told us that there was a port a couple of miles along the coast that had a few restaurants, so we headed there for lunch.<\/p>

The restaurant we went to was called Viggos and the lunch was possibly the best value meal we have had so far, the menu of the day was four courses and a bottle of wine for \u20ac12 per person.\u00a0 The view was lovely as it was right in the port so overlooked the boats.\u00a0 I don’t know how we missed this the last time we were here.\u00a0 Needless to say we visited this restaurant a few times while we were here.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the town there were a few supermarkets, but what really surprised me was finding a Tesco (really called Foodco)!\u00a0 It stocked all our favourite Christmas treats, Quality Street, Celebrations, Cheeselets and Galaxy!\u00a0 I was one happy person.<\/p>

Back at the van the campsite staff had dressed up as Father Christmas and drove round playing Christmas music and gave everyone a Christmas present.\u00a0 This was a lovey touch and very unexpected.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

We started Christmas morning with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon whilst waiting for the boys to wake up back at home.\u00a0 When they texted to say they were up we called them on WhatsApp to watch them, and Bailey open their presents.\u00a0 It was just like being there!\u00a0 When they were all done we headed to the beach with the rest of the Prosecco to record a video message to our friends and family back home.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Next was the challenge of cooking Christmas dinner in Wike.\u00a0 Prawn cocktail to start, unfortunately the prawns didn’t taste right so we both left it, followed by roast chicken and chocolate brownies and custard for pudding.\u00a0 We were both stuffed but still managed to find a little room for the Quality Street!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

On Boxing Day we took the bikes off to explore the Sierra de las Moreras, which is a National Park on the Mediterranean Sea.\u00a0 It was so peaceful as we cycled along the stony path.\u00a0 We found a little cove where we stopped for a picnic lunch made with the leftover chicken from the day before.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The sun came out and for the next couple of days we relaxed on the beach, I even went in the sea!<\/p>

Our ACSI card was due to expire at the end of December, as we use this all the time for discounts on campsite we needed to order a new one.\u00a0 As you have to physically have the card we ordered it for delivery at the campsite.\u00a0 \u00a0This meant extending our stay until it arrived.\u00a0 Not really a problem as we are not in a rush and the campsite is nice, the beach is great and now we know where the best value restaurants are!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
