May bank Holiday weekend and the sun is shining.\u00a0 We head off to Somerset and a pub stop over that has it’s own lake.\u00a0 On the way we stopped at Fleet Air Arm Museum<\/a> to have a look round the aircraft, they even had a Concorde we could go in.\u00a0 I find it amazing how small this plane is.\u00a0 \u00a0The history of the Royal Navy is fascinating and I could have stayed here all day.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I had phoned the Halfway House Inn<\/a> and spoke to the landlady to book.\u00a0 She has just started doing stopovers and have their own motorhome.\u00a0 When we arrived we were directed to a field behind the pub next to the lake.\u00a0 What a great place.\u00a0 We ate in the pub that night to some home cooked food.<\/p>

The following morning we took the bikes and went in search of breakfast.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Yeovil is really hilly!\u00a0 Looking at the map it seemed there was a country park just up the road so we headed there in search of a caf\u00e9.\u00a0 After cycling round in circles looking for an entrance we gave up and thought we would head back to town.\u00a0 On the way we saw a sign for the Yeovil Railway centre<\/a> so diverted hoping they would have a caf\u00e9.\u00a0 \u00a0What an interesting place this was.\u00a0 It is an old junction building where the trains used to have to change tracks, and they do a mean egg and bacon sarnie!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

We headed back to the pub where we sat in the garden with a cold glass of cider before heading inside for dinner.<\/p>

The following morning the sun was still shining so we decided to pump up the paddleboards and get out on the lake.<\/p>

This was a great stopover that I would definitely recommend.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
