We have never been to Romney Marsh so thought this would be a good place for our next trip.\u00a0 I had heard that the beaches were great so found this CL not far from the coast, and plotted a cycle route along the coastal path.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

We stayed at Shingle Hall Farm which was the neatest CL I have ever seen.\u00a0 The owner was really friendly and told us about a pub that was just across the fields.\u00a0 So we thought we would have a walk over to see what was going on.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The path to the pub was across fields that were so dry the ground had cracked.\u00a0 The footpath was so straight you couldn’t get lost if you tried!<\/p>

The pub was called The Star Inn<\/a> and the landlady was really friendly.\u00a0 She told us that they had a Queen Tribute band booked for Sunday afternoon.\u00a0 We both love live music and hadn’t seen any for over a year so though what better way to spend a bank holiday weekend.<\/p>

The next morning we set off on the cycle.\u00a0 It was bitterly cold but dry.\u00a0 The route took us along small country lanes that led onto the Royal Military Canal and came out in Hythe.\u00a0 From here we cycled along the coast road to Dymchurch for coffee.<\/p>

The following morning we had a lazy morning chilling out at the van then set off for the pub.\u00a0 It was still really cold we we dressed up warm and dug out our heated waistcoats.\u00a0 \u00a0The tribute band was playing outside in the garden and was really great fun.\u00a0 The wind was howling, the rain came down but everyone had a great time.\u00a0 We staggered back across the really straight path back to the van to see the most incredible sun set.<\/p>

I had planned another cycle, this time to Dungeness but as the wind had picked up with 50mph winds forecast we decided to call it a day and head home.<\/p>
